And together, with our third-party logistics and A&D Wholesale operations, we’re proud to be a Canadian leader in specialty health care.Your future starts hereThe Clinical Resource reports to the Manager of Clinic Education and is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff within Coverdale Infusion Clinics. This role focuses on enhancing the clinical competence and professional development of nursing personnel, ensuring high-quality patient care in the field of infusion therapy. The Clinical Resource Nurse collaborates with the nursing leadership team to identify learning needs, design educational initiatives, and support the ongoing education of infusion clinic staff.How You Will Make An ImpactMain Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Regularly monitor the Education inbox for nursing and general clinical concernAssist nurses and colleagues with clinical questions and concerns via email, phone and text as neededCreate and update educational materials, presentations and resources, including documents, presentations, videos and live webinarsAssist in the development of new drug programs and other projects within the companyAssist in the creation and sharing of training reports for various audit purposes, both internal and externalCollaborate with the Coverdale Operations Team and Quality Assurance team on the resolution of QIRs, CAPAs and Audit related concernsStay updated with the latest advancements in infusion therapies and disseminate relevant information to the teamRegularly review legislation, provincial guidelines and other resources to ensure policies and practices are evidence informedMaintain Casual clinic hours in the clinic in order to maintain competency and familiarity with day to day nursing needs and practices.Demonstrates through behavior BioScript Solutions Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork;Actively participates, communicates and serves as a positive change agent for all clinics/divisions and system’s initiatives/goals and leadership activities;Maintains knowledge of national and local trends in nursing practice;Reports compliance issues with required educational training to the Assistant Director/Regional Managers as needed;Assists the Clinical Resource in the planning, development and roll out of new clinic programs and projects;In conjunction with the Education Support Team, creates, plans, implements and coordinates education and continuing education activities for all nursing staff. Activities to include clinical support and coaching of new and existing clinical and administrative staff on clinical matters,performance coaching as deemed necessary by management team, and assist in meeting goals as determined by annual performance evaluations of clinical staff by the management team;Assists the Clinical Education team to create, manage and update policies, protocols and forms as needed by the management team, including literature and research reviews. Reviews and updates Policies as required and on a regularly scheduled basis as determined by the management team and outlined in policy;Maintains current, valid nursing license as a Registered Nurse and seeks opportunities to maintain and improve clinical skills;Works to improve knowledge and skills in adult education, leadership, and other skill/knowledge areas as supported by Coverdale;Supports the management team and BioScript partners in various clinical projects as requested; andIn coordination with the Clinical Resource, provides education and clinical support to external partners, such as partner clinics, independent clinics, whether through Coverdale, BioScript Solutions or educational service programs with pharmaceutical partners.Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and performance gaps within Coverdale and work with the team to close these gaps.Collaborate with the Coverdale Operations Team and Quality Assurance team on the resolution of QIRs, CAPAs and Audit related concernsRegularly conduct reviews of SOPs and perform updating as neededCompetenciesWhat you’ll bring to our teamExperience with infusion therapy, especially monoclonal antibodies;Registered nurse with a minimum of 5 years acute care or infusion clinic experience;Experience with oncology, chemotherapy or monoclonal antibodies for oncology applications considered an asset;Must be self-directed, have initiative and able to work well independently with minimal supervision;Must have a good comfort level in working with technology and software such as Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software;Must be organized and have good time management skills;Experience in adult education and training an asset; andBilingualism in French and English, will be an asset.Physical Demands And Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Clinic Nurse to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
