About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services the General Office Clerk is responsible for the communication system and the reception/registration duties within the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent, plus completion of a recognized office procedure/secretarial program, or 1-year previous clerical/administration experience is required
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Terminology Program is required
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with Windows and Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook and Edge, as well as Meditech computer training and experience is required
  • Related hospital exposure in an applicable setting preferred
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; must be an effective team player
  • Ability to work rotational shifts required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent Part-time position, 10%, 7 hours bi-weekly
  • Hours of work will include days, evenings, holidays and weekends. There will be no travel required.

Compensation and Incentives

$22.89 - $24.88 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
