What You Will Do: The Junior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager, CFPM. The successful incumbent will be responsible for various financial functions and will also be expected to partner closely with leaders of sales and operations to support various initiatives of this rapidly growing company. This position will help develop financial models to support decision making related to business issues including profitability of new opportunities, revenue models and profit margin analysis, financial reporting and analysis including forecasting. *This role is work from home with the option of Hybrid in the Edmonton/Surrey region* Major Job Functions: Track, measure, report progress against the company’s key initiatives Prepare financial operating results for monthly reporting which includes analysis and identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Assist in budget preparation and continuous rolling forecast process during the year. Analyze and communicate business unit financial and operational performance trends using appropriate metrics Other ad hoc analysis as required. Specific Skills: Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Excel skills. Power point skills Enthusiastic and approachable personality; demonstrates reliability and responsibility consistently. High level of initiative, resilience, and adaptability. Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting aggressive deadlines of multiple projects with a variety completion dates. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position. Must possess highest standard of accuracy and precision and be highly organized. Strong business acumen and judgement. Requires the ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management as necessary around confidential/sensitive information. Adept at creating clear and concise presentations using PowerPoint.
