Planning & Scheduling Supervisor

Job Description
Are you looking for a role that will challenge you?Would you like to make a difference in the Environment?If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you!The purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership and supervision for a team of Planners, Schedulers and Work Week Leaders. The position will set and mange performance standards for the team and is accountable for the safe, effective execution of the work/schedule. This position is the Single Point of Contact for all work in the Zone. What will you be doing ! This position directly reports to the Maintenance Zone Manager and is responsible to: Creates the conditions/opportunities/environment, which brings out the “best” in the team; ensuring the safe, efficient execution, including identification of multi-skilling opportunities, of the work/schedule. Provides leadership, including setting performance standards for the team, measure deviations and takes corrective action towards improvement through individual training plans, performance appraisals and lessons learned analysis for technical leadership and administrative aspects. Responsible for participating and leading hiring, goal setting, performance evaluation, career development, promotion and disciplinary actions. Actively participate in incident investigations, return to work meetings and management of bioassay requirements. Review and monitor Work Requests, Work Orders for performing work. Initiate Work Requests on behalf of the customer group to ensure timely implementation and action. Review work packages for complete, accurate development and approve their release. Review work priorities for each job, identify conflicts with resources, equipment and systems and manage a reasonable work backlog. Responsible for scheduling of PMs to optimize the availability, reliability and operability of equipment, the five week look ahead plan and rolling schedule with a strong focus on configuration management and return to service of equipment, evaluate the impact of emergent and high priority work and facilitate emergent and high priority work through coordination of work activities and other work groups. Responsible for PM deferrals. Coordinates work with all zones, management, facilities and customers to make sure jobs are carried out per schedule and customer expectations. Consult with Facility and Equipment owners and Engineering on a regular basis to ensure maintenance is being completed as required. Complete walk downs as required with appropriate customers, trades, Landlord, Engineers, etc. Coordinate all underground service requests, DDC’s, line locates and coordinate shutdown schedules for both planned and forced outages. Attend and chair all required meetings (POW, POND, Safety etc.) as required. Accountable for achieving KPI targets for the zone. Accountable for orphaned tasks. Other duties as required. What We Are Looking For Post-secondary education, with a minimum of 5 years of technical or maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus supervisory experience. Must have the ability to inspire and lead others. Must have extensive knowledge of site systems and equipment. Must have the ability to produce coordination plans and large number of activities in a logical and sequential fashion. Must have demonstrated interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work smoothly and effectively with customers, colleagues and management. Must have demonstrated experience understanding and implementing maintenance work procedures. Must have demonstrated ability to read and understand specifications and drawings and interpret complex construction drawings. Must have demonstrated ability to adhere to job budgets/schedules and to meet deadlines Initiative to resolve problems and expedite resources, work plans or other appropriate actions. Must have good knowledge of software systems such as CMMS, ORACLE and/or other applicable programs. Must be self-motivated, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to interact with peers, other departments, and external vendor. Ability to self-manage and perform administrative responsibilities related to various tasks. Security clearance eligibility required : Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
